Buko salad is a very popular dessert in the Philippines, especially during the holidays. Nothing beat its creaminess and the delicious flavor brought by the coconut strips. This one is special because we also added cheese, kaong, nata de coco, and kernel corn to the usual recipe!

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 500g buko (young coconut meat) strips
  • 1 can (432g) fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 small can (185g) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 340g nata de coco, drained
  • 340g kaong, drained
  • 200g processed cheese, diced (like Eden)
  • 2 packs (250ml each) all-purpose cream
  • 1 can (168 ml) condensed milk, adjust according to your taste


Cooking Instructions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients.

Step 2

Using two ladles, mix carefully until everything is well-distributed.

Step 3

Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.

Step 4

Transfer to serving bowls. Enjoy your special buko salad!
