This Pork & Shrimp Siomai brings together the savory goodness of ground pork and the sweet, juicy bite of shrimp—wrapped in soft wonton and steamed to perfection. Perfect with toyomansi and chili garlic oil!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 cup ground pork
- 1 cup shrimp, minced
- 1 cup turnips (singkamas), minced
- 1 onion, minced
- 4 tbsp spring onions, chopped
- ¼ cup carrots minced
- 1 whole egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp salt
- Wonton wrappers
Cooking Procedures:
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients except the wonton wrappers.
Step 2
Mix until everything is well incorporated.
Step 3
Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wrapper. Form a circle with your thumb and index finger, then position the siomai in the center. Gently press the sides and top while rotating to create a pouch. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
Step 4
Brush the base of the steamer with vegetable oil, then arrange the siomai pieces properly inside.
Step 5
Steam for 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 6
Serve hot with toyomansi and chili garlic oil. Enjoy your Pork & Shrimp Siomai!
