Potato salad with ham and egg is a delicious and filling dish that you can enjoy any time of the day!

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 pcs large potatoes, peeled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pc carrot, peeled
  • 1 pc onion, chopped
  • 8 pcs lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup ham, chopped
  • 1/4 cup spring onions, chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Iodized salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Water for boiling
  • Cooking oil for frying


Cooking Procedures:

Step 1

In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Put the potatoes in the pot first then cover. After 5 minutes, add the eggs then cover. After another 5 minutes, add the carrots then cover. Finally, after 5 minutes more, remove them from the pot then transfer to a big bowl with water and ice cubes. Blanch them for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Chop the cooked potatoes, eggs, and carrots then place them altogether in a bowl.

Step 3

Add onion, mayonnaise, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Step 4

Arrange lettuce leaves in another bowl. Add the potato salad.

Step 5

In a pan, fry the chopped ham until toasted. (You can also use bacon if you want)

Step 6

Top the salad with the fried ham and spring onions.
