This recipe of crispy fried isaw is perfect as pulutan for your drinking sessions. It is so easy to prepare too!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1/2 kg chicken intestines, cleaned thoroughly
- 8 pcs calamansi
- 2 packs magic sarap (8g each)
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 3 pcs eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups cornstarch
- cooking oil, for deep-frying
Cooking Procedures:
Step 1
Get the juice from the calamansi. (Remove the seeds from the juice using a strainer).
Step 2
Put the chicken intestines in a mixing bowl then add the calamansi juice, ground black pepper and 1 1/2 packs of magic sarap. (Reserve half a pack of magic sarap to be mixed with the eggs).
Step 3
Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Step 4
Dip the marinated chicken intestines first into the flour, then into the eggs, and lastly into the cornstarch. Make sure each piece is well-coated.
Step 5
In a heated pan, deep-fry the chicken intestines until golden brown. Drain excess oil using a strainer or tissue papers.
Step 6
Serve with vinegar dip and enjoy your crispy fried isaw!
