Creamy Chicken Pastel Recipe

Learn how to cook this special chicken dish. You can never go wrong with the combination of chicken, vegetables, and milk. Even the kids will love it!

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 kg chicken fillet (breast or thigh part), cut into serving pieces
  • 1 can evaporated milk, small (full cream variant)
  • 1 can Vienna sausage, sliced
  • 1 pc medium carrot, sliced
  • 1 pc red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 pc medium potato, sliced
  • 1 pc medium garlic
  • 1 pc medium onion
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Magic Sarap seasoning granules (optional)


Cooking Instructions:

Step 1

In a bowl or container, put the chicken fillet then season with salt, pepper, and seasoning granules. Marinate for about 2-3 hours.

Step 2

Heat cooking oil in a pan. Fry the chicken meat until slightly brown.

Step 3

Move the chicken meat to the side of the pan then add garlic and onion. Sauté until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the carrots, potatoes, red bell pepper, and water. Cover then simmer until the carrots and potatoes are cooked.

Step 5

Add the Vienna sausage, evaporated milk, and dissolved cornstarch. Stir well.

Step 6

Season with salt, pepper, and seasoning granules according to your taste.

Step 7

Serve and enjoy your Creamy Chicken Pastel!
