Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk (or regular milk)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sesame seeds, for coating
  • Cooking oil, for deep frying

Cooking Procedures:

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

Step 2

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

Step 3

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until you form a smooth dough.

Step 4

Scoop small portions of the dough and shape them into balls (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter).

Step 5

Roll each ball in sesame seeds, ensuring they’re well-coated.

Step 6

Heat the cooking oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Carefully drop the dough balls into the hot oil.

Step 7

Fry in batches until they turn golden brown, flipping occasionally for even cooking (about 3–5 minutes per batch).

Step 8

Remove the binangkal from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 9

Let them cool slightly and enjoy your Binangkal!
