Beef mami is usually served as street food in the Philippines. Beef paired with egg noodles plus poured with hot tasty soup is just so delicious and comforting. It is a great idea to learn this recipe so you can cook beef mami for your family anytime at home.
This recipe is good for 4 servings.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1/2 kg beef brisket
- 1 kg egg noodles (pancit canton), cooked
- 1 cup chinese cabbage (baguio pechay), chopped
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 pc medium onion, minced
- 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
- 3 pcs star anise
- 5 cups water
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- salt or fish sauce, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Cooking Procedures:
Step 1
In a pre-heated pot, brown the beef and sear the sides.
Step 2
Pour in the water. Bring to a boil and allow to cook until beef becomes tender.
Step 3
Add star anise, onion, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
Add the cooked egg noodles and Chinese cabbage and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
Step 5
Serve in serving bowls then garnish with green onion. Enjoy your beef mami!
