Melon palamig is a popular summer drink in the Philippines. It is made from a combination of melon juice and milk. The combination of these two ingredients results in a creamy and refreshing beverage.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 large melon (cantaloupe)
- 1 can (14 ounces) condensed milk
- 4 cups cold water
- ice cubes
Procedures:
Step 1
Cut the melon into half. With a spoon, scrape seeds and pulp.
Step 2
Place pulp and seeds in a bowl, and add 1 cup of water. Press down repeatedly with the back of a spoon to extract the juice. Use a fine strainer to separate the seeds from the juice. Discard seeds and reserve the juice.
Step 3
Using a melon shredder, shred cantaloupe meat.
Step 4
In a pitcher, combine the shredded cantaloupe, the reserved juice, and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir.
Step 5
Add condensed milk and stir until well combined. Serve immediately with ice. Enjoy your Melon Palamig!
